Lockney hosts 1st welding competition

Last Saturday Lockney hosted the first annual Double L Welder Rodeo, which took place from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. April 26 and was designated a qualifier for state competition. Lockey FFA students were among those taking part.

Down one game and looking square at the possibility of the season being over, the Floydada softball team responded by meeting the moment with what may have been its finest day of play – so far. Turns out having their backs against the wall was exactly what the Lady Winds needed.

LADY WINDS SOFTBALL AREA ROUND PLAYOFF game will be held at 6 p.m., Thursday, May 2 at the Big Springs Lady Steers Softball Field (705 E. 8th Street, Big Spring).
