MARBLE FALLS— Katherine Michelle Luna, 48, of Marble Falls, formerly of Floydada, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family, on Saturday, April 6, 2024 in Lakeway, Texas.

Mass of Christian burial was held at 10 a.m., Saturday, April 13, 2024 at St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church in Floydada.

Burial followed at the Floyd County Memorial Park in Floydada.

Visitation was held at 5 p.m. through 8 p.m., Thursday, April 11, 2024 and 8 a.m. through 8.m., Friday, April 12, 2024 with Rosary starting at 6 p.m. at the Moore-Rose Funeral Home in Floydada.

Arrangements are under the personal care of Moore-Rose Funeral Home of Floydada.

Kathy was born on November 17, 1975 in Burlington, Colorado, to Robert and Connie Luna. She was raised in Goodland, Kansas, until the age of 4 when they moved back to Texas in 1979.

Kathy was the first-born daughter and was daddy’s little girl. Kathy played basketball, ran track, and loved hanging out with her friends.

Kathy became a mother at a very young age to her son, Angel Trevino. She later moved away to Dublin, Texas, where she stayed for several years. She then moved to Brownwood, Texas and had two more children, Trey Lara and Joel Lara. Kathy then moved to Marble Falls, Texas where she later adopted her only little girl, Trinity Faith Isaac.

Kathy loved spending time with her daughter Trinity, and her fur baby, Daisy Girl, hanging out with friends, floating the river, and going out dancing—and most of all she loved playing softball. She was a die-hard New York Giants fan and never missed a game.

Kathy worked at Lights and Such and Highland Furniture and was currently employed at IBC Bank.

She is preceded in death by her dad, Robert Luna; maternal grandparents, Salvador and Leandra Barrientos; paternal grandparents, Presentacion and Maria Santos Luna and great-nieces, Heaven Faith and Nevaeh Hope Segura.

Kathy is survived by her children, Angel Trevino of Lubbock, Trey Lara and Joel Lara of Brownwood, Texas, and her only daughter, Trinity Faith Isaac of Spicewood, Texas; a step-daughter, Tylin Roman of Marble Falls; five grandkids, Izaac, Izabell and Zayden Trevino of Lubbock and Jiovanni & Kairo Brinson of Marble Falls; her mother, Connie Luna of Floydada; one brother, Robert (Bobby) Luna of Lubbock; four sisters, Jennifer Luna of Lubbock, Felisha Cavazos and Kayla Luna, both of Floydada, and Kimberly Luna of Wyalusing, Pennsylvania. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, brothers-in-law, sister-inlaw and many friends.
